Sunny park fun!

So everyone, I'm pretty sure a lot of you have noticed that it's be quite a successful sunny week here in England!  Especially over here is Essex. Heck yesterday I got to put the suncream on and dress David in shorts it was THAT hot where I live.  We decided to make the most out of the sun this week and spend it outdoors in parks that are all around us.  Even though it was sunny and warm it was still muddy in some areas so we were covered in mud a few times (woops) but it's all in the aid of fun so I didn't care that much. We didn't go too far from home BUT we didn't need to, to have fun for free.

Now I will admit I didn't get photos of all the parks we went to as well, we were having far too much fun.  The first park we went to was Compass Garden in my local town centre.  It's a really nice park and you really get a sense of community from it.  It's got an outdoor gym which is very popular which actually surprises me.  It also has two parks one for older children and the second for toddlers as well as a new and improved skatepark and long fields. For some reason it didn't cross my mind that even though it was sunny it would still be muddy.  I was probably far too busy thinking sun, sun, sun, sun.  David still had lots of fun though walking along the paths and running around in circles chasing after the other children.  He makes friends so easily always has from birth which I'm pleased about.

The next park we went to during the week was the park literally round the corner.  No seriously it's right around the corner.  We always have lots of fun here and what's even better is that there is no mud :P.  ha ha yay!

Sunday was the best day of them all though! It was soooo bright and hot.  I got to put David in shorts for the first time this year yay!  We visited the park in Maldon and took David's trike as well.  As expected though it was VERY busy.  We played in the pirate park until lunch time.  Below is a stock photo of the park without people ha ha.  I was far too busy playing with David as well as making sure he was safe.

We then sat down and obviously had lunch, David had rice crackers and raisins.  He was going to have fruit until I noticed it had gone off!  I noticed the sale by date was the 8th of March! I brought it on that day! Shouldn't of even been on the shelves naughty Asda, thankfully I ate one first before David ate any phew!  It was such a nice day and the park was so busy me and Matthew decided it would be a good idea to walk along the seawall to Tesco (we could buy some more fruit for David) where there is another park there.  It was such a beautiful view walking along and we saw lots of great places.  One being a tea room on a boat!  How cool is that!

The views whilst we were walking were so nice.  A few people were riding their bikes and I don't blame them.  It was such a nice day. It took us a while but it was worth it and it was a beautiful walk.  We popped to Tesco and then headed to the park next to it.  David made some new friends and it was less crowded which was good.  Only problem though is that it was rather muddy.  Next time I'll be taking David's wellys ha ha.  I don't mind us getting muddy though it's all done in great fun.  Plus there is always the washing machine.  Until next week everyone!

Essex Urban Games: Burnham Version.

So the Saturday just gone (not to be confused with the Saturday before that, which was Ship of Dreams), me and Jake went to Burnham for the day.  Burnham not long ago had there Skate park re-vamped and for the better!  To celebrate this the council organised an event for the day called SX Urban Games.  There were lots of entertainment throughout the day; Free running, Skate competition and Cheerleaders!  The weather was nice and sunny with no rain so there was no interruptions which was good.  There were loads of people at the Skate Park it was packed! It was a good thing though, like to see so many people down there, though don't get me wrong it was nice.  I didn't really know what to wear at first but I was feeling in the mood for a fishnet top but I lost mine a while back.  So instead I wore my ann summers dress over the top of my casual top and rolled it up.  I think it looks pretty good but here is a picture.

When we first got down there the free runners were just finishing setting up as well as practising.  I love free running I think it's pretty cool I just wish I could do it ha ha.  There was a DJ in a van, as I like to call it, and it was pretty awesome.  I'm not going to lie I did have a bit of a sing along to some of the songs. After a bit we got hungry so we popped to the local Tesco.  All the sandwiches were reduced..hell yeah! When we got back we munched on our food and waited for he cheerleaders to start.  I was a bit gutted 'cause I missed Doge-ball and I'm a pro at dodging this ha ha.

David wanted to swap lunches with his dad.
We didn't have to wait for long until the cheerleaders showed up.  All the boys were straight away interested ha ha.  David certainly was, he started getting tired and very difficult. I said to Jake "you just wait as soon as the cheerleaders start there show he will be silent.  Was I right? Of course I was ha ha. I took a few photos of the cheerleaders so I found them on Facebook.  I wasn't that impressed as most of there photos on Facebook looked like they should be on top of cars.  Not really appropriate if you ask me but each to there own. The first performance was okay but nothing to get excited about but the second one (when we came back from dropping David off) was much better.

The Cheerleaders
Not long after they had a guy that preformed some beat boxing and wow! It was amazing I thought to myself that he must of been getting help from the DJ but he wasn't none at all!  I filmed the whole thing so I will edit that later and put it on my Youtube.  Next was the Skate competition. Our friend Tom got through to the finals, it was funny 'cause he only entered so he could skate without so many people getting in the way. Before the actual skate boards first it was the finals of the scooters and there were some pretty impressive stuff for scooters, one guy even did a flip! The BMX round was next and well it was pretty boring, all they did was ride up and down on the ramps. At last was the skating final, there were so many that got through but there were so good footwork and Tom's brother Ryan grinded a few times with his Rollerblades.  I can imagine that being hard so I was impressed. After it has finished we were treated to some pro scooters and they did some amazing tricks!

the scooter flip
Finally was the free running event, I knew this was going to be good and very fast so instead of pictures I decided to take a video and I'm so glad I did 'cause I was right. It was all very impressive and I love free running so I enjoyed it free much. I will be editing the video later on in the week so it will be on my Youtube account soon.  You can find a link to my Youtube account in the "Follow me" section.  I have way more to talk about so a new blog will be posted on here in the next couple of days.  Until then byes ♥

Holiday Monday and Tuesday

So you guys already know what happened on my holiday on Saturday and Sunday. So I am here to talk to you about Monday.  So on Monday me and Jake decided to go and explore the town that wasn't far from our park.  We had already walked to it on Sunday night but this time we decided to take David along with us especially as it was a nice day.  We wanted to take him along to the funfair that was near us as so far he hadn't been impressed by the baby rides that were in the amusements.

Socks off (wouldn't keep them on lol) and looking bored haha.
There wasn't many people when we went in through the gates so we decided to try again later.  Instead we went into the town that was near and go on a bit of an adventure.  Whilst walking up to the town there was some building going on and I walked along the pier telling David about the different kinds of trucks and building vehicles.  They were building a new marina and put up progress pictures which was pretty cool.  So after that we got into town and me and Jake were thirsty and it was time for David's lunch.  We went saw this little cafe and sat outside as it was such a nice day.  The cafe was sooo cute and it had crafts you could buy as well as lunch to keep boredom at bay.  We got David a "kids tray" and my god I was sooo impressed.
After that we decided to go back to the funfair and not much had changed =/.  Not only that but there weren't many people a the booths and I hate  funfair workers that go to another ride to chat to people I find it irritating as they are supposed to be working.  I did find this little train ride and although it looked a bit boring for wee man it had lots of scenery for him to look at.
So on Tuesday we went to the swimming pool with David. He got a bit freaked out at first but he soon got a bit more relaxed it helped when I pulled funny faces in his spider man doughnut haha. He got a bit restless after a while because before we went he was tired bless him.  So we took him out the pool and dressed him and handed him to my parents who were sitting down beside the pool so me and Jake could send time in the pool ourselves.  After that we took him home and put him down for a little nap and went out to play air hockey and mini golf.  Hehe good for me as I won both of them! Wooohoo girl power!

I of course had a celebration drink hehe.  After that fun we went back to get David to take him tot he park.  He had lots of fun going down the slide (even trying to climb back up it haha) and also mastered the rocking horse type thing (I can't remember what they are called) here are some pictures of him playing in the park.

After that we decided to take man on another ride in the arcade one that he actually like as it was random and had buttons on! Haha, a video of him enjoying the ride can be found on my Youtube.  Later that day I went to bingo with mum and Jake as we had a bit of luck and boy did we!  Our table all ended up winning and not only did we get our money back but also what we had spent that whole day!  Bargain!  I was actually a bit scared that some of the grannies that were in the room would end up trying to kill me lmao.  I will post Wednesday and Thursday in a few days.

Holiday Saturday and Sunday

So right now I'm on holiday in Wales and I'm having the time of my life :D.  The first holiday I have had with my own little family.  What is great though is that my parents are here with us too which means not only do I get to spend an amazing time with my son but I also get to spend some alone time out and about with Jake my fiancĂ©e.  We got here by train as there wasn't enough room really for all of us and I wanted to bring the trike with us as well. I didn't mind though as me and Jake got to spend some time in London just the two of us.  We  managed to buy some Bubble Tea and Sushi which was fantastic!

We went to Regents Park too where there was a cute and over friendly squirrel. He/she followed some ladies about which was quite funny to watch.  We then headed to Paddington Station, I've never been there before but it was quite big kind of like Waterloo nice though.  I also spotted the Paddington Bear shop, I didn't have enough time to go in the shop whilst we were there but I will probably go in there when we go back on Friday. The train journey was very pleasant and I loved watching all the scenery as we went past it.  I love nature so for me it was a very nice trip.

We arrived at the station right on time and then decided to take a trip to Asda.  Everyone is so nice here so far and we have had no problems with people. When we got to our caravan it was nice to see how much space we have.  Plenty of room for David to walk around with his walker (even if he does try to run us over with it haha).  On the first day we were here we didn't really do much though me and Jake went around the amusements to play on some of the machine. We took David to the Splash Park, though he wasn't that amused and was rather clingy haha.  He kept wanting to touch it but I think he didn't like the feel of it which is a bit odd and he loves splashing with water. I think he was tired though as it was after 5 oclock and that's when he starts getting tired for bed bless him.

That was pretty much it for the first day.  On Sunday we went to the beach, it was lovely cause it was a beach that was hidden BUT it was also annoying cause it had loads of blooming pebbles and stones arghh lol.  David had plenty of fun though playing with the sand...eating the sand *facepalm*.  Also playing in the water, we tried to keep him standing for as long as possible but there was no stopping him from crawling in the water and sand but he had lots of fun and it was really hot so he still stayed warm.  After we then went to a Tea Room and Oh-My-God it was amazing!  Not only was the food served on vintage plates but the amount of food and quality was soo good.  If I lived in Swansea I would defiantly of gone there more then once a month.  Quite ironic though as were it was near where I went when I was younger when I was part of a youth group AND my sister had actually been in there herself when she was part of the same group when I was older.

2 servings but my god look at the size of that cake!

David checking our waitress bum ¬_¬ pervert!
At night me and Jake went for a nice romantic walk and managed to walk two whole beach lengths!  We saw that there was a funfair within walking distance so we decided to take him there the next day.  It was such a lovely night out and it didn't get cold which was lovely.  We also spotted a few more arcades as well which was good.  I could tell you about Monday but I'll leave that until tomorrow so I have stuff to talk about ha ha.  As you can see we have packed lots of things into all our days!  Never a boring day with us,  can't wait until Wednesday we are going to Cardiff to go to the Doctor Who experience.

Invaded by caterpillars

So Sunday was as sunny as ever, it's a rare thing in the UK to be sunny. I decided to put all of David's toys outside, his trampoline, tent, tunnel and his electric police trike.  I even put his lunch on a plate for him on a table outside.  David was having good old fun on his trike with daddy whilst I was cleaning up in the kitchen.  It wasn't long until Jake came into the kitchen and I noticed a caterpillar on him, he asked if it was spiky/furry and I said yes.  He told me to get it off him asap as it can be dangerous.  I took it off with a bit of card and then let it out the front door.  I played outside with David for a bit and then I noticed he was about the put his hand on another caterpillar.  I took David inside just to be on the safe side and started to research into it.

The Caterpillar

As luck may have it I went on Flickr and found the same caterpillar in our town!  It was posted just 10 days ago, and it was a nest found on a tree.  It went on to say how the caterpillar can cause an allergic reaction.  Now I know I can't protect David from everything, but he has the habit still of exploring with his mouth. So if you can get an allergic reaction from just touching the caterpillar I don't even want to know what will happen if you eat it!  It was such a nice day though I didn't want to stay inside all day though as it would be waste.  Instead me and Jake decided to pop to the park round the corner as we needed to go to the local shop anyway.

We got put David in his trike and made our way to the park.  He had lots of fun, he went though the tunnel and went on the swing with Jake.  He loves the swings it's his favourite thing about the park.  I think he was wondering why his dad was on the swing next to him though haha.

Like father like son.
Last but not least I will post a picture of my outfit and give details of where I brought it from. I like this outfit I don't normally wear stuff like this nor have my hair in this position but it was different and I liked it.
